Building positive relationships during Red Ribbon Week

Several schools at Lincoln Public Schools are celebrating Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-31 with different activities. Here's what is happening at Morley Elementary School:

Morley second-graders got a visit from members of the Lincoln Police Department on TuesdayOct. 24, while students are learning about drug danger and Red Ribbon Week. The officers talked to the students about the dangers of using drugs and alcohol, what to say to someone who is trying to give them something they do not want and whom to talk to if they see a problem. Students were able to ask questions, try on a vest and see the inside of a police SUV.
